Active Installation - 2022
Active Installation: Food, Found Objects, Organic Materials, Wood. 1 m x 1 m.
December 14th, 2022. (My Birthday).
Heavenly is an installation inspired by the description of Heaven (Al-Jannah) described in the Holy Book of Quraan; with the 4 rivers of Fine Wine, Honey, Pure Waters, and Laban. The juices I used in this work are: Grape juice (since Muslims don’t drink in this current life), orange juice instead of honey (because of its viscousity for the fountain pumps), and real berries laban. Real fruits, cherries and grapes.
Other elements in this piece include found objects; all vases and ornaments were thrifted by me earlier in December 2022.
Sourced items include: the four fountains, miniature items and animals, preserved moss, and a round wooden base.
Some moss and greens grass were collected fresh from the garden.
